For 36 years, Spooky City has brought the Burlington community downtown for a day of Halloween fun, and this year's celebration comes with something else worth recognizing: reopened downtown streets following a summer of construction.

We'll be there from noon to 2 p.m., sponsoring construction-themed games as part of the Coffin Races.

And with festivities beginning at 9 a.m. and continuing through a 9 p.m. showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, there's plenty happening throughout the day.

Come downtown, enjoy the festivities, and see what happens when construction turns into competition.

From plans to pavement, the Highland Road Bike/Pedestrian Spur is officially open!

Kapur provided engineering design for the 1.5-mile paved trail connecting the Ozaukee Interurban Trail to Rotary Park in Mequon. The project created a dedicated off-road connection along Highland Road, providing a safer route for people walking and biking through the community.

Congratulations to MT Trails Foundation, the City of Mequon, and everyone who helped bring this community connection to life!

We went into this week's WCHA - The Wisconsin County Highway Association Leadership Development Group Conference hoping to hear what's working, what's changing, and what challenges county transportation professionals are navigating across Wisconsin.
