Project Highlight: STH 86 Bridge Rehabilitation

The rehabilitation of the STH 86 bridge over USH 51 in Tomahawk was completed on schedule. Improvements included bridge deck repairs with a new concrete overlay, guardrail and curb replacement, new drainage features, updated signage, pavement markings, and slope restoration to improve long-term performance and safety.

The DAAR Engineering team enjoyed a great day at our annual golf outing! With beautiful weather, a fun 9-hole scramble, an evening cookout along the Wisconsin River, and a trip to the Kwahamot Ski Show, it was a great opportunity to connect outside the office. Congratulations to Freddy, Walter, Noah, and Nick on their winning score of 6-under par! Thank you to Inshalla Country Club and Bridge Inn Tomahawk for the wonderful hospitality.

Project Highlight: Moorland Road Reconstruction

DAAR Engineering is providing construction management services for the City of New Berlin’s Moorland Road reconstruction project in Waukesha County. Improvements include pavement and storm sewer replacement, lighting and signal upgrades, utility coordination, and streetscaping enhancements - all focused on improving safety and long-term infrastructure performance.

From the Field: DAAR Engineering recently completed our first in-house manhole inspections to support new electric service installations. By assessing cable splicing options and conduit capacity early, we’re improving design efficiency, reducing conflicts, and helping keep projects moving.

Project Highlight: USH 14

Stage 2 construction is underway on U.S. Highway 14. Traffic has been shifted to the eastbound lanes while the westbound lanes remain closed for reconstruction.

Crews are making progress with sawcutting concrete pavement, removing deteriorated sections, excavating to subgrade, and placing new aggregate base to support the new concrete pavement structure.
