Eligible Australian small businesses may be able to claim the $20,000 instant asset write-off for commercial kitchen equipment in FY 2025–26.

For hospitality operators, this could include equipment such as:

Refrigeration
Ice machines
Glasswashers and dishwashers
Prep benches and shelving
Induction units
Selected combi ovens and cooking equipment

The important part: equipment must be installed and ready for use by 30 June 2026 — not simply ordered or invoiced.

The threshold applies per asset, with no ceiling on the number of eligible assets claimed.
