We did it! One of the most challenging and rewarding projects we’ve taken on to date 🙌

This was a full gym equipment upgrade at the Porgera mine site in Papua New Guinea. The existing space was outdated and in need of a serious refresh, so our team removed the old equipment and replaced it with brand-new, commercial-grade machines built to handle daily use in a demanding environment.

Delivering and installing a project like this remotely required careful planning, logistics, and teamwork - and seeing it come together has been incredibly rewarding.

The best part? Knowing the mine workers on site now have a gym they can be proud of and train in every day! 🙏

Here are some tips to pick the right surface for performance, safety, and longevity in your gym:

1. Strength zones: 15–20mm rubber tiles; drop zones 30mm+ with acoustic underlay

2. Functional lanes: minimum 15mm turf with cushion layer for sleds work

3. Cardio/studio: 6–10mm roll rubber for a clean, seamless finish

4. Edges: Aluminium ramps for clean transitions and easy access

5. Acoustics: In shared complexes or residential areas, soundproofing underlay is essential to reduce noise and vibrations
