An engine change with no hangar.
When a Gulfstream III on the Big Island needed a new engine, our team brought the job to the aircraft and completed it on open ramp.
April 29: Replacement engine staged and prepared.
May 4, 10:00 AM: Crane positioned on site.
May 4, 11:40 AM: Engine removed from the aircraft.
May 8: Replacement installed and cowls closed.
During the job, our technicians also found a bird’s nest packed inside the nacelle. It’s a reminder of why every PMX job includes a thorough inspection of the surrounding area, not just the component being replaced.
For operators in Hawaii and the Pacific, local MRO-level capability means less downtime and no waiting on a mainland team.
