We are committed to our clients. * Practical * Efficient * Thorough & Accurate * Positive Attitude is a kama’aina firm, established in 1950 by Harold Tanimura to provide Consulting Structural Engineering services to both municipal and private constituents throughout Hawaii. The firm continues with the tradition of providing quality professional and personal service to their clients. Over the years

the firm has provided engineering services throughout the State of Hawaii and the Pacific Basin. The range of projects that our firm has worked on includes residential, commercial, high-rise buildings, highway bridges, building renovations, civil infrastructure and structural investigations. Material expertise includes concrete, masonry, structural steel, aluminum, light-gauge metal and timber. While the firm utilizes computers extensively in design procedures, emphasis is placed on practical and economical engineering solutions. Our technical staff consists of two structural engineers (and one engineer-in-training) with over 60 years of combined design experience.

Arluis Wedding Chapel DHC at Sheraton Waikiki project won the 2021 Building Industry Association of Hawaii’s Commercial Remodeling Division (projects up to 7,500 sq ft category). We were the structural engineers for this project.
