Our Bay Area acoustic consulting team is proud to support the rehabilitation and revitalization of Golden Gate Village, a historic affordable housing community in Marin City, California.

Our team used advanced 3D sound modeling with SoundPLAN, along with on-site calibrated noise measurements, to evaluate freeway noise exposure across all 28 buildings on the site.

Environmental noise reports play an important role in housing projects like Golden Gate Village by helping project teams identify potential impacts early and make informed design decisions that support long-term resident comfort.

We’re proud to share that our Anchorage office received an Engineering Excellence Award in the Environmental category for our work on the Matanuska-Susitna Borough Leachate Facility!

The facility provides a sustainable, local solution for treating landfill runoff by reducing hauling costs while protecting groundwater and nearby ecosystems. Powered primarily by landfill methane, the facility removes contaminants like PFAS and zinc and delivers long term environmental and cost benefits for the Borough. Coffman provided civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering for the leachate concentrator system.

Our Atlanta office was honored to volunteer with Feed My Starving Children, supporting their mission to address global hunger by providing nutritious meals to children in need. Together, the team packed more than 96,000 meals, helping fight childhood hunger worldwide. We love this event for its meaningful impact and the opportunity it gives our team to serve together and give back.

We’re proud to have played a part in Mitchell Park Place, a 50 unit 100% affordable housing development by Eden Housing in Palo Alto, California.

Coffman provided full acoustical consulting services for this mixed use project, which includes 2,750 sf of ground floor nonprofit office space and thoughtfully designed residential amenities, including a community room, library and tech lounge, outdoor courtyard, and meeting spaces. Our team supported the project with environmental noise measurements and analysis, sound isolation recommendations between living units and community spaces, mechanical noise and vibration control, and room acoustic treatment design—all helping create comfortable, high quality homes that support community and well being.
