StarCare Specialty Health System's Sunrise Canyon Hospital and HOPE Center for Health and Wellbeing

These facilities brings a higher level of behavioral healthcare services to the South Plains, designed to expand access to behavioral healthcare and better serve individuals experiencing mental health challenges.

The new Sunrise Canyon Hospital features therapeutic treatment spaces, increased patient capacity, and an intensive treatment sub-unit to support high-quality, personalized care. The HOPE Center provides an alternative to emergency rooms, jails, and inpatient hospitalization when clinically appropriate, offering crisis evaluation services, extended observation, and connections to community resources.

Together, these spaces reflect a shared commitment to creating safe, inclusive, and supportive environments that meet the evolving needs of the community with healing, dignity, and well-being at the center of design.

What a special night at Liberty High School — opening night of the new gym and the first volleyball game in the gym! 🏐

This gym was designed with student athletes in mind, but also for school spirit and the fans who fill the stands to cheer them on. 🙌

The new San Angelo ISD Crockett Elementary School Cafeteria was designed to be more than a place to share meals. This project features an expanded dining area, modern kitchen and serving spaces, and a stage for student performances, celebrations, and campus events. 🍎

As part of San Angelo ISD's Bond 2025 improvements, the new cafeteria will help accommodate a growing student population as Crockett prepares to welcome students and families from Bowie Elementary. The bond also includes classroom additions, a new playground, and new parking and student drop-off areas.

Every historic courthouse has a story worth preserving.

For generations, Texas courthouses have served as centers of civic life, where communities gather, local government conducts essential business, and history unfolds. Preserving these landmarks means honoring their architectural character and longstanding role in public service while adapting them to meet the administrative and civic needs of today and future generations.

With guidance from Komatsu Architecture's historic preservation team, now part of Parkhill, eight Texas counties, recently secured $40.7 million in grants to help advance that mission. Completed prior to the grants award, the Wise County Courthouse is one example of the thoughtful preservation and successful transformation possible with this team.
