Back in 2024, Helix Architecture + Design Studio asked us to recreate the custom finials for their entryway during their building renovation. The originals were missing or rusted out, so we built fresh replacements from scratch—adhering right to the original design and fabricating them from stainless steel so they'll stand strong for decades to come.

Bombs Away!
Machine Head KC designed and fabricated a custom mounting solution for these cool Retro-style Bomb Displays for 54th Street Grill and Bar!

Last year, the Kauffman Center needed a custom solution for their perimeter bollards after several took damage from vehicle impacts. Since original replacement bases were no longer available, Machine Head KC was asked to make new ones.

We not only fabricated new custom bases, but we also designed a smart break-away system—protecting both the bases and the bollards, while making resets quick and cost-effective.

We had the pleasure of helping Matt Castilleja with this cool light fixture he designed and created. He asked us to fabricate a 3-piece metal band that would clamp around his custom glass globe to fit his specifications. We were happy to play a small part in bringing his creation to life. Awesome work Matt!

We are excited to announce that the "Mighty Bike" is now open at R Park!

In early 2023, Matt Kirby of Leopold Gallery envisioned a climbable park sculpture inspired by the idea of a child's drawing. Since then, numerous Kansas City-based companies and individuals have worked tirelessly to bring this concept to life. Machine Head worked with DI Build to construct the final piece—a 20-foot-long fantasy bicycle sculpture that weighs as much as an elephant.

We invite you to visit the Mighty Bike at its permanent home in R Park, located at 5535 Juniper.
