When it comes to innovation, our team is leading the charge on projects that drive the rail industry forward and make a positive impact on our communities. Construction is underway on the Marine Way Grade Separation project in Southern California, which will create a new, four-lane roadway that passes under nearby railroad tracks, increasing access and establishing a signature gateway into the growing Great Park development. Numerous RailPros teams are involved in the project, including our Design, Project Management, Construction Management, Field Services, and Training teams. Dedicated to staying flexible and meeting client and community needs, our engineering group provided the project with an innovative alternative bridge construction method, which involves the installation of a box bridge via hydraulic jacks. This method reduced railroad outages, decreased costs, and significantly sped up the anticipated construction schedule. The trailblazing project is the first of its kind in California, setting the stage for future grade separations in the state to be built under this type of construction method. We’re grateful to our team for using their expertise and creativity on this project to make a strong impact for our communities, clients, and industry!
