♻️ Turning old tyres into reusable material.

At Waste Conference 2026, our team caught up with Peter from Shoalhaven City Council to discuss the success of their recently commissioned rubber crumb processing plant.

Built to help overcome the challenges regional areas face accessing recycling infrastructure, the facility is now producing 600 micron rubber powder at 99% purity for use in road paving, artificial turf and playground surfaces.

Waste Initiatives was proud to support the project and help bring this important recycling initiative to life.
