After 4 months of preparation and hard work, the temporary bridge over Burley Griffin Way at Wallendbeen was lifted into position just after 6am this morning. When the required checks and cleaning up is completed, it will signal the end to the 40 minute detour that locals have been enduring since March this year when the original bridge was damaged by heavy rain.

MAINTENANCE and enhancement work will bring more than 1000 employees and many millions of dollars into Hunter Valley communities this week.

The latest rail shutdown which commenced across the Hunter Valley this morning has our crew working at Werris Creek, Maitland, Breeza and Kerrabee.

The last major rail shutdown of the year is underway across the Hunter Valley network this week. From 6:30am Monday 19th November until 6:30am Friday 23 November some train services will not operate and others will be limited to allow construction and maintenance works to get underway safely.&nbs
