Buchart Horn is looking forward to exhibiting at the PMAA 2026 Annual Conference & Trade Show at the Erie Bayfront Convention Center.

This event brings together companies serving Pennsylvania Municipal Authorities and provides an opportunity to connect with industry professionals and decision-makers across a variety of sectors, including water, wastewater, stormwater, solid waste and recycling, airports, transit, parking, redevelopment, and community projects.

Be sure to join Katharina Pankratz, PhD, EIT, on Tuesday, September 15th as she presents "Environmental Insights for PFAS Treatment Design in Drinking Water Systems." Her presentation will examine environmental considerations that can help inform PFAS treatment planning and design for drinking water systems.

Buchart Horn recently joined Allegheny County for the ceremonial painting of the North Park Observation Tower, marking an exciting milestone in the restoration of this beloved landmark.

Originally constructed in 1937 as a water storage tank, the Observation Tower has stood as a treasured North Park attraction for generations. Besides the tower returning to its original silver color, the restoration will involve structural repairs, interior and exterior restoration, and safety upgrades.

The surrounding grounds will also be transformed with accessible pathways, a pedestrian courtyard, new landscaping, a one-acre wildflower meadow, and ADA parking. The transformation will create a place where visitors can once again gather, explore, and experience North Park from this unique vantage point.

We’re proud to be part of preserving this iconic piece of North Park’s history while helping shape its future.

Knowledge and memory were put to the test at Buchart Horn’s York Headquarters during a fun-filled trivia event! Employees were randomly assigned to teams and came ready to think, laugh, and compete for the top spot; all while enjoying fresh popcorn and candy along the way.

After a hard-fought battle, the “Smart Alecs”—Scott Loercher, Diana Young, and Laura McClain—came out on top with a score of 64 points! Congratulations!

Congratulations to the recipient of the 2026 Buchart Horn, Inc. Scholarship Award!

We’re proud to recognize Brooke Shellenberger, daughter of Karl and Pam Shellenberger, as this year’s scholarship recipient. Brooke is a sophomore at Temple University, where she is pursuing a degree in Biology.

August is National Traffic Awareness Month, and we’re highlighting how our transportation and roadway designs can help create safer, more efficient streets for everyone.

For the City of Memphis, Buchart Horn developed updated roadway striping to bring roadway markings and lane configurations in line with current MUTCD standards and City recommendations. The improvements included new bike lanes, clearer lane markings, and upgraded longitudinal-style crosswalks with appropriate signage at areas frequently used by pedestrians.

These improvements help make traffic movements more predictable and support safer travel for everyone who uses the road.
