☀️😎 The First Day of Summer has Arrived! 🩴🏖️
Today marks the first official day of summer in the Northern Hemisphere and the longest day of the year.
The Summer Solstice happens when the Northern Hemisphere is tilted most directly toward the sun, giving us our maximum amount of daylight.
From this point forward, the days will very slowly start getting shorter, although you probably won’t notice much difference for several weeks.
Fun fact:
While today has the most daylight, it’s usually not the hottest day of the year. The atmosphere takes time to heat up, which is why our hottest weather often arrives in July and August.
OK, who’s ready for summer---*officially*?
