Position Summary: This is an entry level position for any age of skill level. We are looking for someone who would like to learn the ins and outs of shipping and receiving here at General Machine Works. This position could lead into an apprentice or CNC operator role. Daily duties for this position are but not limited to…
• Packing of parts into cardboard boxes, plastic bags, or skids.
• Counting and labeling various information onto boxes prior to shipment.
• Receiving incoming materials.
• Driving a F-350 on local deliveries and pickups.
• Cleaning and organizing your work area.
• Entering shipment information for UPS, FedEx, or USPS.
• Communicating with management and coworkers.
Technical Skills:
• Mechanically inclined.
• Able to stand for 8 to 10 hours per day.
• Experienced in operation of power tools.
• Able to read a tape measure.
Safety Skills:
• Have acute situational awareness
• Able to be trained on pallet jack and forklift.
• Equipped with personal protection equipment.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6:00am – 4:00pm.
Friday’s depending upon workload.
