What would your day look like without water?

No morning coffee. No showers. No clean hospitals, thriving businesses, healthy waterways, or reliable fire protection.

Water powers nearly every part of our lives, but delivering it safely and reliably takes thoughtful planning, resilient infrastructure, and dedicated people working behind the scenes.

This Imagine a Day Without Water, DEA recognizes our water professionals and clients like Springfield Utility Board (SUB). In this photo, SUB staff works with DEA’s bathymetric surveying team to help better understand the river. Working together, we help communities protect this essential resource, sustain healthy watersheds, and prepare their water systems for the future.

Because a day without water affects everything.

It’s Public Power Week!

This week, we recognize the community-owned utilities and dedicated professionals working every day to provide reliable, responsive, and locally focused service.

DEA is proud to support public power providers as they strengthen and modernize the infrastructure their communities depend on. From substations, transmission and distribution systems, and protection and control systems to energy storage and construction support, our teams help utilities prepare for today’s needs and tomorrow’s challenges.
Thank you to the public power professionals powering strong communities across the country.

The global economy depends on safe, efficient maritime transportation, supported by reliable marine data.

This World Maritime Day, DEA Marine recognizes the role of hydrographic surveying and marine geospatial services in advancing navigational safety, resilient coastal communities, and a thriving blue economy.

Through our partnership with NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration, DEA delivers critical data that improves nautical charting, strengthens ports and waterways, and supports sustainable ocean development.

Safe navigation. Sustainable growth. A stronger blue economy.

10 years. One lifesaving message: See Tracks? Think Train®

This year marks the 10th anniversary of See Tracks? Think Train® Week. For a decade, Operation Lifesaver Inc. and rail safety partners across North America have worked together to raise awareness, provide rail safety education, and help prevent railroad crossing and trespass incidents.

As we recognize this milestone, here are a few reminders that can help keep everyone safe:

• Always expect a train. Trains can travel on any track, at any time, from either direction.

• Stay off the tracks. Never walk, bike or take photos on railroad tracks.

• Obey crossing signs and signals. Never drive around lowered gates or try to beat a train across the tracks.

• Stay alert. Put distractions away and cross tracks only at designated crossings.

The campaign may be celebrating 10 years, but rail safety matters every day.
