On the 18th, Governor Jay Inslee signed the housing industry-backed plat extension bill, HB 1074, into law. Sponsored by Rep. Jan Angel, the legislation will provide one additional year for plats, assuming completed applications were submitted by January 1, 2008. The new law expands on plat-extension legislation that passed last year, providing an additional year (to 10 years) for extensions and applies not only to cities, but the unincorporated UGA as well.
