Mechanical Designer with SolidWorks

Responsibilities will include total delivery of the mechanical deliverables, within performance budget and meeting quality expectations. Duties may include performing advanced design work serving as a technical specialist for a complex design assignment. This level requires extensive progressive experience in mechanical design and involves utilization of project controls for cost, schedule and quality of projects.

• Extensive experience and working knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Computer-Aided Drafting.
• Two plus years of relevant industrial experience in mechanical and piping drafting and design.

• Knowledge and application of ASME Piping Code B31.3.
• Drafting of P&ID’s and GA’s.
• Familiarity with specifications and installation details of construction bulk materials and equipment.
• Experience with Autodesk BIM 360 would be highly desirable.

Project Engineer needed in Bellevue, WA! Long term opportunity!

Responsible for the detailed mechanical engineering scope of industrial and municipal water and wastewater systems as well as biological sludge incineration and digestion. The Project Engineer (PE) develops key documents and generates technical RFQ packages and technical bid evaluations for rotating equipment, vessels, valves and other mechanical equipment. The Project Engineer works with a cross-functional engineering and broader project team to deliver to our customers.

Responsibilities:

Perform mechanical related design of water and wastewater treatment systems, ensuring design quality, while meeting project schedule, budget, and customers’ expectations.
Perform required calculations needed for sizing, generate technical specifications and perform technical bid evaluations for the fabrication/procurement of various mechanical equipment including (but not limited to) pumps, blowers, compressors, chemical feed systems, vessels/tanks, filters, piping systems, and valves.
Engineer systems in compliance with engineering principles, customer standards and specifications, contractual requirements, and local applicable codes.
Ensure that all engineering designs, bills of material and technical data are completely and accurately documented by reviewing associated engineering drawings and related documents.
Coordinate activities concerned with process and mechanical design reviews as well as project issue (scheduling and technical) resolution related to design, construction and start-up.
Meet Quality Management System (QMS) requirements for project ex*****on and documentation.
Interface with project manager and customer on project and problem resolution.

Desired:

Experience with the specification and evaluation of rotating equipment, piping, tanks and manual valves.
Ability to read P&IDs and PFDs (including material balances).
Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and a basic understanding of water chemistry.
Experience with hydraulic design including head and NPSH calculations for sizing of pumps.

All IT Network Employees, Clients, and Suppliers:

IT Network is actively monitoring the spread of COVID-19 (the Coronavirus) around the world and taking appropriate steps to ensure the safety of our employees, suppliers, clients, and the communities in which we operate.

We are working on contingency plans to safeguard our team members and employees, as well as our ability to avoid any disruptions in our recruiting / staffing service or in our ability to process payroll, interview, hire, and onboard employees.

Our office is open and normal attendance policies are in place; we are following our individual client’s policies regarding employees working at client locations.

IT Network has instituted the following internal policies:
• We are working with our clients on an individual basis based on their contingency planning and will continue to be fluid in our support as the situation unfolds.
• All non-essential travel is limited until further notice.
• Employees have been advised to practice hand and respiratory hygiene and to avoid close contact with anyone exhibiting symptoms that may be consistent with COVID-19, including coughing, sneezing and / or a fever.
• Practice social distancing as much as possible. Try to avoid in-person meetings; instead we encourage everyone to use email, phone or teleconferencing options. We are currently expanding our engineering group. We are looking for a passionate and hardworking Professional Mechanical Engineer (local candidates strongly preferred, ability to work in the US a must) who is seeking a challenging opportunity that is comfortable functioning independently and as part of a team.

The successful candidate will be accountable for the completion of assigned tasks including mechanical equipment design, pipe stress analysis, package management, writing and revising procedures, preventative and corrective maintenance planning including office and field support.

This position will be primarily based out of our Eastside of Seattle office. Travel to customer sites will be required. Current customer locations include: North Dakota, Pennsylvania, British Columbia, and Central South America. The successful candidate must be willing and able to travel globally.
