Can you spot material imperfections? TMAC can. ✅

Not every machining issue is visible—until the damage is already done.

In a recent application, TMAC issued an undercut alarm mid-cut. At first glance, the tool appeared fine. But something in the process had changed.

When the part was inspected, the cause became clear: a material void had created a significant missing section in the part—something impossible to predict by visual inspection alone.

Instead of continuing the cycle and producing scrap—or potentially damaging additional tools—TMAC stopped the machine immediately, containing the issue to a single part and preventing further impact.

💡 That’s the difference between:

• Reacting after the fact
• And detecting issues in real time as they happen

Material inconsistencies, inclusions, and voids are unpredictable—but your process doesn’t have to be.

With real-time monitoring and adaptive control, TMAC doesn’t just identify problems—it responds instantly to protect your tools, your parts, and your uptime.

➡️ Edition 5 of The Automation Edge is here!

This edition tackles a common CNC question: when does an offline tool presetter deliver the most impact versus an in-machine laser tool setter—and when is the best solution integrating both?

From setup efficiency to unattended machining and production continuity, the right approach can directly impact productivity, process reliability, and your bottom line.

Ulli Thornton and Derek Waterman ended a busy week of events on a very high note at the Wolfram Manufacturing Shooting Event and Open House. ⚙️

It was an engaging customer event filled with clay shooting, BBQ, an open house, and shop tours at Wolfram Manufacturing Technologies.

Safe to say the Caron Engineering clay shooting skills might need a little more practice—but it was a fun opportunity to connect with customers, partners, and the manufacturing community.

Thanks to the Wolfram team for hosting such a memorable event!

This week, Mike Laurendeau got a chance to visit the Volvo Construction Equipment facility in PA.

Always impressive to see operations of this scale and precision.

Excited about the opportunity to support teams like this with technology that enhances process control, reduces risk, and drives more efficient, automated production.

Thanks for the opportunity to visit and see your operations firsthand.

Who knew we had so much hidden bowling talent at Caron Engineering?? 🎳

Because team building is essential, we make it a point to get together at least once a quarter—to connect and recharge. This time… we hit the lanes!

Big thanks to the ESOP Committee for coordinating a fun afternoon—and to our friends at Bowl-A-Rama, Sanford for hosting us!
