RFD uses 5 axis CnC machines to produce the highest quality racing cylinder heads available today.

We are finally in the process of assembly on Sidepiece. Our crank and one rod and piston is in. We are using a Cam Motion hyd roller cam custom ground to our specs. We have the cam degreed to the intake centerline we want with the help of the 9 place adjustable Liberty timing set. We have to check valve to piston clearance yet and if all is well there we can finish the shortblock.

Project Sidepiece is still moving along. Unfortunately at a slower pace than we may like at times but that what happens with side projects. All block machining is done. Block is clean, painted, cam bearing installed and ready to measure bearing clearances. Shortblock assembly to follow shortly

It’s been awhile since we’ve updated progress on project Sidepiece. We finally finished balancing the crank and some other prep work. Our heavy bobweight required us to put in 5 slugs of heavy metal, but we got the balance where we want it. We also added a keyway closer to the front main in order to run a 2 piece lower timing gear. As always we welded the reluctor to the crank. Hopefully we can start assembly of the shortblock in the next few weeks.

440” SBC truck pull engine coming together. Should be well north of 1000 hp with a single carb. This beast has some really good parts in it. Dart Iron Eagle block. Callies crank and rods. JE custom pistons. Profiler Airstrike heads with our large port program. Bullet cam, T&D shaft rockers. Jesel belt drive.
Can’t wait to see this thing in action.

Valvetrain mock-up with our hydraulic roller version of our large port CID LS7 castings. These heads flow 430+ at only .700 lift making them one of the baddest LS hydraulic roller heads made. And they will accept oem LS7 rockers
