Congratulations to Trent Clark, a CBB intern alum, on graduating this week from Washington University (Wash U) with a bachelor’s degree in Architecture. 🎓

Trent was a 2021 CBB intern as part of the Missouri Department of Transportation and Millstone Weber's I-270 North Project Pave program. As a high school senior, Trent stood out for his curiosity, work ethic, and drive to learn. Upon graduation from Hazelwood West High School in 2022, Trent entered the WashU Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts.

Trent has had great success over the past 4 years at Wash U as an Ervin and McLeod Scholar. He has been featured by the University for his impact on campus and earned his real-estate license, all while staying inspiring the next generation and mentoring students at both Project Pave and Hazelwood West.

We are incredibly proud to be a part of Trent’s journey and can’t wait to see the impact he continues to make in our community. Congratulations, Trent!

CBB is proud to support Saint Louis University American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) student chapter. Recently, Laura Gray attended the ASCE Mid-America Student Symposium, where she served as a competition judge, participated on a young professionals panel, and connected with student chapters from across the Midwest.

Laura is the chapter’s Practitioner Advisor, where she mentors students, builds industry connections, and supports their professional growth. We also recently enjoyed our time with students and CBB Alum, Professor Jalil Kianfar, Ph.D., P.E., at the chapter’s annual end of semester “Ice Cream Social”.

Safety is at the core of what we do. Behind every work zone is a team of people who show up every day to make our roads safer. This Work Zone Awareness Week, we recognize their efforts and recommit to protecting everyone on the road.

CBB is proud to support that mission through our transportation safety projects and local initiatives, like the Missouri Highway Safety Conference, the Work Zone Awareness 5K, and MoDOT's Buckle Up Phone Down Day. Our team is also looking forward to participating in the Work Zone Awareness 5K this Saturday and showing our support in the community.

For us, safety is always in season.

Happy ! 🦺🧡

This Work Zone Awareness Week, the CBB team is wearing orange to spotlight the crews working hard behind the cones to keep our roads moving safely. The best way to support them: Slow down, put the phone down, and stay alert.

As drivers, we all play a huge role in protecting those in the work zone. Drive safe – today and every day.
