Bopp Architecture is super-duper proud to be a part of Laclede’s Landing’s residential renaissance by designing Arch Lofts in the former Morgan Street Brewery. Currently under construction, with multiple floors of rental apartments over street level retail, Arch Lofts will be a big part of the next generation of vibrancy for one our oldest and most beloved neighborhoods.

I’m sure many St. Louisans of a certain age will recognize this fella hiding out in Bopp Architecture’s latest mixed-use loft conversion project. It’s always fun to find remnants of the past when renovating old buildings. Usually it’s something a century old but sometimes it’s a symbol of your own youth.

There is something extremely elegant about the combination of concrete and wood. I have been fascinated with it since I was a student studying the Salk Institute in LaJolla, CA by Louis Kahn.

We’ve checked out these “tiny” homes (they’re a bit bigger than what we would call an actual tiny home) on previous trips to Palm Springs and they are pretty cool. While small, they take advantage of the outdoor space to feel much more substantial. We’ll likely check them out again next week for as more have been built.

Palm Canyon Mobile Club is a community of prefabricated tiny homes that takes the headache out of zoning and utility hookups for good.
