• evaluations of current facilities
• stormwater management

We are seeking an energetic individual to support our design team in a variety of engineering
design and drafting tasks. Technicians should be excited to work on multiple projects through all
phases of documentation.

A civil CAD technician is responsible for creating CAD drawings, layouts, and designs using
basic design and engineering principles and reviewing the drawings to ensure compliance with
design standards. The CAD Technician will work under the direction of an engineer in
developing construction details, plans, and related design spreadsheets.

Roach & Associates, LLC (R&A) is an expanding civil engineering firm primarily focused on the
dairy industry, located in Seymour, WI. R&A provides planning, facility design, engineering,
construction inspection, permitting, and surveying services to our clients throughout northeast
Wisconsin.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare CAD drawings, plan sets, and exhibits.
• Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes under the direction of an engineer.
• Review and apply design specifications and standards
• Maintain notes, design calculations, and other documents for future reference.
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications
• Associate degree or completion of a technical school program in CAD, drafting or related fields or equivalent combination of experience and training to provide the required knowledge and skills
• Proficiency using Autodesk Civil 3D
• An understanding of civil engineering drawings and newer styles and standards.
• An understanding of survey and engineering related CAD application.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to effectively communicate
Preferred qualification
• Associate degree or completion of a technical school program in CAD, drafting or related fields, plus two years of related work experience: or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• 2+ years of Autodesk Civil 3D experience.
• Degree in Engineering, Drafting or Construction Management, or similar, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience developing scripts to automate CAD operations\
