Start-to-finish box spreader project 🔥

Gouged off the old flights, cleaned up the shaft of remaining weld as well as excess rust, then installed all new flights with a clean established starting point. The whole job was Wrapped up in about 5 hours!

With mobile flux-core welding and plasma gouging, jobs that usually take all day can be knocked out way faster ⏱️

With how expensive new equipment and parts are getting, it just makes sense to repair when you can. We’re here to help save you money and get you back up and running 💪

DB Weld & Fab would like to wish everyone a very happy and blessed Easter! 🐣✝️

Below are photos from a project that had us (HOPPING) in and around a wash plant.

The first task involved rebuilding the washout tub at the bottom. Years of wear had left multiple holes, with four layers of patches that were letting more out than they were keeping in. After removing the old material, we installed new AR400 and Hardox plates to provide a leak-proof, longer-lasting solution that can better withstand the wear and tear of a wash plant.

Next, we addressed the existing screen rails, which had worn out after 30 years of operation. All three levels of screen deck rails were cut out and replaced with new material—setting the system up for the next 30 years of service.

Additional improvements included maintenance patches, updated wear plates, and other upgrades throughout the plant.

The project is now complete and ready to go just in time for what is expected to be a busy season for our customer!

We’d like to thank Birling Bovines LLC for keeping us busy throughout the winter months! We had the opportunity to build two new manure tankers, along with upgrading one of their existing tankers to a 20” fast dump kit.

With pumping season approaching quickly, we were proud to get these tankers completed and ready to go to work right on time.

We recently had a customer bring in a new trailer for his landscaping business, Voyage Solutions WI. Tanner wanted fork pockets installed, a designated space on the tongue for binders and chains, and the spare tire mount relocated. This setup allows the fork pockets to be positioned on the ditch side—helping keep both him and his equipment safely out of traffic.

We recently finished a project for a new construction calf facility at a local dairy, and we’re excited to share the results!

These four custom feed tote stands are installed in each corner of the barn to make feeding more efficient and convenient.

Each stand is elevated to allow a cart to roll underneath and catch calf feed with ease. They’re built to hold up to 2,500 lbs of feed at a time and are designed for functionality and durability. Feed totes can be placed from the front using a skid steer, and the structure is reinforced in all the right areas to safely support maximum weight—while still allowing a center opening for smooth feed flow.

I had the pleasure of doing some rust restoration on a dump truck box—out with the carbon steel and in with the stainless.

The previous setup was rusted out and eaten away from the back side under the belly pans that were permanently welded to the box. By making the new belly pan covers aluminum and removable, you eliminate the chance of rust and give yourself the option to clean under the box, preventing buildup and ultimately giving your box a longer, rust-free life.

It was a great job and an awesome opportunity to expand my knowledge and better serve future customers!

A recent handrail I built for a family friend — simple, clean, and effective. It always gets the job done.

At DB Weld&Fab LLC, we don’t focus on just one niche. We take whatever comes our way and turn it into exactly what our customers need or envision — regardless of the size or materials involved.

For those who may not know my background, I worked for a mechanical contractor from the age of 16 until I decided to pursue my own business full-time in July of 2025.

My experience has ranged from large industrial projects to smaller commercial jobs, giving me the opportunity to become well-versed in the many processes this trade has to offer — including custom fabrication, field installation, troubleshooting, maintenance support, and emergency repairs.

You’re never done learning or improving your craft, but the last 10 years of long days, longer nights, and most weekends dedicated to the trade have given me the confidence to run and operate my own business. Today, I’m proud to provide my own clients with a quality finished product backed by DB Weld&Fab LLC.

What was once a dream is now mine and my family’s reality. The long days and longer nights are still here — but the purpose behind them has only grown stronger.

Anything worth having isn’t easy. And anything easy isn’t worth having.
