A UC Berkeley graduate, Jazmine specializes in wastewater collection systems including compliance, condition and capacity assessment, asset management, and infrastructure renewal. She's led 15+ Sanitary Sewer Management Plan audits and compliance reviews for Bay Area agencies and evaluated more than 1,000 CCTV inspections to drive risk-based rehabilitation and capital planning. Her strength in condition assessment and regulatory compliance adds depth to our growing Southern California team and to how we help clients get the most from their infrastructure.

Every other year, WSC puts together a big family camping trip. This year's trip was at Cachuma Lake, CA! Between the campfire s'mores, seeing Saturn from Mirko's telescope, eating homemade breakfast burritos, boating, kayaking, fishing, waking up with the sunrise, and drinking coffee from a stovetop percolator, there is no sweeter way to have spent the weekend.

Building a better future starts with building up an incredible team. As a company, this is one of our earliest and most favorite traditions. Until next time, everyone!

Conferences like this one are incredibly fun but equally crucial to WSC’s effort to invest in our staff’s expertise, learn from industry experts, and build relationships across the industry. And yes, Jess made a new friend. Meet Tw***ie, the week’s most ssssocial attendee.

Stacks.... on stacks.... on stacks! Almost everything at the Sausalito Marin City Sanitary District wastewater treatment plant is stacked due to extreme space limitations and a steep site. That's a clarifier built on top of a digester, headworks above the EQ basin with the MCC tucked into the lower level, and odor control equipment on top of the Operations Control Building.

WSC couldn't make the CWEA tour last week, so SMCSD was gracious enough to give us a private tour, and what a view.

This weekend our WSC San Luis Obispo staff members cleaned up the Morro Bay Coast as part of ECOSLO’s annual Creeks to Coast Cleanup! Corinne, David, Cason, Spencer, and their loved ones came together to protect our waterways, communities, wildlife, and our neighbors. WSC's Construction Inspector Antonio Branic gives us a thumbs up today from the Carpinteria Advanced Purification Project (CAPP) jobsite, the first project of its kind in Santa Barbara County. When finished in 2028, CAPP will provide up to 25% of the District's water needs with purified, recycled water. That's water that will replenish the groundwater basin, protecting the community in times of drought. It's a historic project, and one we're proud to be a part of.

Urban Water Management Plans (or UWMPs) are required every 5 years for systems that serve more than 3,000 connections or 3,000 acre-feet of water. This year, WSC helped our clients complete over 45 UWMPs! This season is always demanding, but helping our clients plan for a is always worth it.

Few of us have been on one project, start to finish, for a decade or longer. WSC's Rob Morrow has, and he has stories to tell and insight to share. Join him as he presents at this year's WateReuse Conference, Wednesday, August 26th at 3 p.m.

Rob and Carpinteria Valley Water District's General Manager, Kelley Dyer, will cover how they managed challenges with funding, cost escalation, permitting, interagency partnerships, and how strategic communications played a role in finally breaking ground on this first-of-its-kind project for Santa Barbara county.
