This Gulf Coast polyethylene pellet loading facility started as a 3D model and became a fully operational rail terminal capable of loading four tracks simultaneously, with pneumatic conveyance and dust collection systems integrated throughout. Safety doesn't start at the job site. It starts with engineering.

The decisions engineers make early in a project, such as how a process is designed, where relief valves are sized, how control logic is sequenced and how workers will access equipment, shape a facility’s risk profile long before construction begins. By the time boots are on the ground, the opportunity to engineer out the most serious hazards has largely passed.

Coming up on 9 years with JEPCO, Brad Vittetoe is the kind of team member every project counts on—dependable, hardworking, and always willing to step up when it matters most.

As a senior staff designer, Brad brings consistency and commitment to every job he touches. Last month, he even went beyond his day-to-day responsibilities by helping create a safety video on a recent Heap Leach Project for a gold mining client—because for Brad, doing the job right also means looking out for the people around him.

That same dedication carries into his life outside of work.

A muscle car enthusiast, Brad is pictured here with his rare ‘63 Nova Super Sport Convertible—a fitting match for someone who’s equally reliable, strong, and built to last. And the trophy in hand is just one of many, including wins like this one from the Yellowstone Rod Run in West Yellowstone.
