NASA's Perseverance rover is carrying another Arc Tech developed weld into space! Our little weld is found in the heart of the MOXIE, oxygen generation experiment.

Scientists developed the materials and design: AWS D17.1, Class B flare-bevel groove. M43 Inconel welded to Unlisted ITM 030 (26%Cr-Fe). Bill Komlos developed the "how" by using ERNiCr-3 filler metal and special axial-tension test specimens to verify the weldability of the ITM and to qualify the actual WPS.

Tony Sanchez, AWS Distinguished Welder of the Year (2013), welded each joint, GTAW. Arc Tech proved that he did it well with visual examination of each weld backed up with liquid penetrant examinations. We just love seeing good work!!!
