⚠️ BOAT EXPLOSION AT Roy's 2.0 FUEL DOCKS ⚠️

Our thoughts are with everyone involved in today’s boat explosion at the fuel docks. We’re hoping and praying that everyone makes a full recovery. Incidents like this are a reminder that fueling a boat deserves your full attention every single time.

Here are a few important fueling safety reminders:

⛽ Turn off all engines, generators, and electrical equipment before fueling.
🚭 No smoking or open flames anywhere near the fuel dock.
📱 Avoid using phones or other electronics while fueling.
🪟 Close hatches, doors, ports, and windows to help keep fuel vapors out of the cabin.
🌬️ After fueling, run your bilge blower for at least 4 minutes if your boat has one.
👃 Before starting the engine, sniff the bilge and engine compartment. If you smell gasoline, do not start the engine. Find and fix the source first.
🧯 Make sure your fire extinguishers are charged and easily accessible.

Gasoline vapors are heavier than air and can collect in the bilge. It only takes one spark to ignite them.

If you’re heading out on the water this weekend, take an extra minute at the fuel dock. That one minute could save your boat—and more importantly—save lives.
