BMJ is excited to share another project recently completed - Marysville Public Schools.

As a part of the 2026 Marysville Schools Bond Improvements, BMJ provided topographical survey, engineering design, construction staking, materials testing and inspection for the reconstruction and expansion of the parking areas and play pads at the High School, Middle School, Gardens Elementary, Morton Elementary, Washington Elementary and Viking Stadium. These new and reconstructed facilities provided a much needed refresh to the school system's aging infrastructure.

BMJ recently completed a project in the city of Marysville that we would like to highlight. The project involved watermain replacement and road rehabilitation on Pennsylvania Ave. from Huron Blvd. to 17th St. and road rehabilitation on 15th Street from Michigan Ave. to Colorado Ave.

BMJ survey crews provided topographic survey to support design that was completed by our engineering department. BMJ also provided construction staking, testing, and inspection on the project.

BMJ was happy to co-host 76 attendees at the 3rd annual thumb region drain contractor’s conference in Kingston, MI last Tuesday. The conference included representatives from 8 counties. It was a great day to get out of the field and shop to discuss important topics, new technology and make lasting connections.

Winter can be a great time to have your land surveyed. Wooded or brushy properties can be easier to survey than in the summer months because of the lack of vegetation, and not dealing with mosquitos and ticks is another bonus.

A second benefit is a quicker turnaround on projects. The construction season comes to an end during the winter. This allows us to schedule projects sooner than we would during the busy times of spring, summer and fall.
