Here’s a job from last year that we did for a local company. Charlie had 30 of these bins to take off the old bent tube pieces, where the forklifts pick them up, and replace them with full length pieces of tube for added strength. As you can see, we take pride in our work. Everyone knows someone who welds, we just have a different idea of what a weld should look like!

We’re still here! Facebook let us know we haven’t posted in awhile so here we go! I (Amanda) finally caught up on a bunch of signs and engraving items while Charlie has been swamped with welding and fabricating projects. We have a couple jobs we are still playing catch up on but we are working hard to get everyone’s projects completed. In the meantime here’s a handrail job we completed last year for a customer. Tons of grinding and blending went into this one to give it that smooth finish without a bunch of grind marks. We LOVE how it turned out. We’ll be doing some post of other projects we’ve finished. We can’t thank our loyal and patient customers enough for keeping us busy, even without making a post in almost a year! 😂

It’s been awhile since our last post but we’re still here. We have been dealing with a year that is right out of someone’s nightmare. After losing Charlie’s mom and my grandmother earlier this year, we were dealt with yet another huge blow. The unexpected passing of my sweet beautiful mother. The amount she has helped us over these years can never be put into words. She was there every day for us, the kids, or anything we ever needed. It’s been one thing after another and to be dealt with yet another big blow has sent our world into total confusion. We have the BEST most understanding customers we could ever ask for. We can’t thank you all enough. From moving back to our home shop and a bunch of other stuff, everyone has been so understanding and patient. It has helped so much. So please bear with us as we continue to deal with these hurdles and take this one day at a time. We will be back to posting our projects soon and we have some fun ones in store!

We have been dealing with a lot lately as some of you know. Then last night, we lost Charlie’s mother. She was always so proud of us and what we were doing. She was so brave and strong through this whole thing and her entire life. It’s something we’ve been living through for a few weeks and it still doesn’t seem real. We haven’t been at the shop much and it has put a huge burden on us emotionally and financially. This past Christmas was our slowest Christmas to date. We depend so much on word of mouth and returning customers. It has literally built our business. Now more than ever we could use everyone’s help to spread the word about our signs and laser engraving. We rely on that department for almost half of our business. It’s VERY expensive running a business and small businesses need your support now more than ever. You wouldn’t believe the things that we’ve had to deal with this year. We know we’re not the only ones but this is just our story. So if anyone needs any metal signs or cnc engraving feel free to contact us and we’ll get back to you asap. We appreciate your support for all of these years. Without you we wouldn’t be here.

Here’s a very cool commemorative sign/plaque we made for the great people at LIUNA LOCAL 1075! From the small example sign we made originally to the amount of time to cut, powder coat, engrave, and assemble, we couldn’t be happier with the final product. It’s always fun seeing something go from computer to reality. We also made some more cape magnets for our friends at P.S. You're My Hero. It’s been awhile since we posted last! We have been playing catch up for what seems the past few months and we’re finally making some progress! After taking a break for Christmas and a week of shop maintenance that has been WAY overdue we can post a few projects we’ve completed recently! What a unique handrail job this one was! From the custom ends to the curved top rail, these were some of our most time consuming rails yet. We absolutely LOVE how these turned out. Charlie spent hours designing, fabricating, welding, and especially grinding/blending to give these customers their one of a kind handrails. We recently sold the last lighthouse Charlie made. This made me think of posting some of the first things Tough Weld Fabrication started making before we even had our Cnc plasma table. Charlie has built many things over the years that he has been a fabricator. We don’t get much interest in these things anymore, but it’s still a very fun part of our history. Most people are surprised by the amount of time these items take to create and the cost to purchase. We have such a wide variety of things we’ve made from then to now and we love to bring back some old projects to show some of our new followers and customers!
