As Tennessee celebrates 230 years of statehood, we’re looking back on our recent firm tour of civic-focused spaces.

The tour included several BCA projects, including the Library & Archives Building, War Memorial Auditorium and Legislative Plaza, along with a stop at the State Capitol. Special thanks to HDLA for hosting the tour of Legislative Plaza and sharing insights into the vision for the space.

We’re proud to contribute to projects that help shape Tennessee and grateful to be part of the ongoing story of our state.

Congratulations to Matt Holifield on 30 years with BCA!

Matt joined our team as a civil designer and eventually transitioned into the IT Systems Manager position. Outside of work, Matt is passionate about glass blowing. You'll regularly find him either creating his own pieces or teaching others how to make their own blown glass art.

After starting her journey with BCA in 2022 as a summer intern, Kathleen McLeod joined our team full-time after graduating in 2024.

Kathleen currently supports a variety of projects, including work with Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee, St. Cecilia Academy, Metro Nashville Public Schools and the Tennessee Board of Regents. When she's not at work, you'll find her either on the courts playing tennis or training for her next full marathon.

We're wrapping up Engineers Week by highlighting our newly promoted associate, Matt. Since joining BCA in 2002, he has gained extensive experience in athletics and university projects. He led the civil design at GEODIS Park, as well as many of the mixed-use developments surrounding the stadium and the redevelopment of the Nashville Fairgrounds.
