Calling all future civil engineers 📢

Find Barge Civil Associates at one of our upcoming career fairs to chat with our team and learn what it's like to work at BCA (hint, hint: it's pretty great).

The BCA team had a great time at last week's Tennessee Stormwater Association Urban Runoff 5K, supporting their mission to protect and improve the quality of Tennessee's waterways.

We had a great time hosting a student from Montgomery Bell Academy for a week-long job shadow!

From OAC meetings to project site visits, he got a behind-the-scenes look at what our engineers do every day. We hope the experience gave him a better idea of what a career in civil engineering can look like.

Happy National Intern Day to our three summer interns, Reese, Nestor and Alan!

We've enjoyed having you all as a part of our team and can't wait to see what's in store for each of you!

Nearly 30 years later, Shelley Lowe is still doing what she loves.

She has spent much of her career helping shape Vanderbilt University's growing campus, leading projects of every size—from small renovations to transformational projects like the West End Neighborhood and the Athletics Master Plan.

Hear more from Shelley in our latest employee spotlight.

We had a feathered friend keeping an eagle eye on our recent site visit.

Located at Radnor Lake State Park, the Barbara J. Mapp Aviary Education Center provides a home for birds of prey that cannot survive in the wild and provides conservation education. We are working with the Friends of Radnor Lake to make accessibility enhancements to access the education center.

Donations to support the education and conservation work can be made at: https://radnorlake.org/get-involved/donate/

We're excited to welcome four new faces to the BCA team!

Josh, Cody, and Frans are the newest members of our civil site design team, and Amanda joins us as our administrative assistant.

A big welcome to our three summer interns!

Alan Perez (Tennessee Tech) Reese Marshall (UT Knoxville), and Nestor Sarmiento (Lipscomb University) are working on a variety of projects throughout Middle Tennessee with both our site design and stormwater teams.
