Geotek's projects have included industrial facilities, commercial buildings, high-rise structures, residential developments, dams, airports, highways, waste management sites, etc. Geotek's clients include businesses and industries in the private sector, architects engineers, constructors, and all levels of government. Geotek's professional staff includes licensed geotechnical engineers and geologi

sts. Working under the direction of the professional staff are civil engineers and engineering technicians. Geotek has completed more than 5000 projects requiring geotechnical engineering design services. These include design and testing for building and bridge foundations, earth and rockfill dams, retaining walls, pavements, etc. Geotechnical studies have also been performed for evaluation of foundation failures and landslide and slope stability problems. Geotek is equipped for the determination of soil shear strength and bearing capacity by unconfined compression and triaxial compression testing, soil permeability by hydraulic conductivity testing, pavement design by CBR tests, stabilization studies for soil improvement, consolidation testing for settlement analysis, soil and rock classification and index properties, etc. Geotek provides geotechnical and hydrogeological studies associated with waste management projects. Projects have included subsurface evaluation of old landfill sites and the hydrogeological characterization of new landfills for sanitary, hazardous, coal refuse, and low-level radioactive waste. Sampling of soil and rock, and installation of hundreds of observation wells were included in these projects. Geotek also performs seismic refraction, microgravity, and other geophysical surveys to determine subsurface characteristics such as bedrock elevations, sinkholes, plume contamination, etc. Geotek's field technical services include in-place CBR tests, plate-load tests, pile-load tests, field permeability tests, and instrumentation including settlement plates, piezometers, and inclinometers. Geotek offers high-quality construction materials engineering, testing, and monitoring services to meet a variety of needs throughout the construction process. Geotek maintains a multi-disciplined technical staff of registered materials engineers and certified field technicians. Construction quality control services are provided for testing of compacted fill, footing excavations, caisson and pile foundations, grouting, quarry operations, blasting control, concrete pours, and asphalt paving. Geotek has been involved with several large construction projects that required mobile on-site laboratories and many technicians and engineers, including major automobile facilities, high-rise structures, DOE facilities, DOT bridges and roadways, and major airport expansions.

Maybe they should have named this the Phoenix Mall? Hickory Hollow Mall was, for all intents and purposes, dead. However, through a lot of hard work, expert design, and innovative imaginings, it has risen from the ashes as The Commons at the Crossings! An award winning, multi-use facility for the entire community.
