This industrial pressure washer head came in after a fitting broke off in the port. An attempt was made to remove it with an easy-out. The easy-out broke. Then a weld repair was attempted.

At that point, the port contained broken fitting material, hardened extractor pieces, and weld material all in the same location.

Because this component operates under high pressure, altering the threads was not an option. The original threads had to be preserved.

Sometimes the hardest part of the job isn’t making a new part—it’s fixing what everyone else thought was beyond repair.

⚙️🌾 A Family Heirloom Brought Back to Life 🌾⚙️

This old windmill wasn’t just another repair project—it was a sentimental family piece with years of memories attached to it.

The original parts were worn beyond repair, so we carefully cut it apart, fabricated new components, and reassembled it to get it turning again. There’s something special about preserving a piece of family history instead of replacing it.

Projects like this remind us that manufacturing isn’t always about making something new—sometimes it’s about keeping something meaningful alive for the next generation.

Witnesses say he was quoted:
“I could buy a new one for $6,000… or let IDM fix it.”
