Great day at the VTCA-VDOT Consultant Forum at the Greater Richmond Convention Center! Our RDA team enjoyed the opportunity to hear the latest from VDOT and industry leaders, connect with colleagues from across Virginia, and spend the day learning and exchanging ideas. Thanks to VTCA and VDOT for another great forum. We’re already looking forward to the next one!

RDA and DRMP had a great time coming together in Greenville, SC for SASHTO 2026!

From insightful sessions and industry conversations to time spent collaborating and connecting as one team, it was a great few days learning from transportation professionals across the Southeast and sharing ideas for what’s ahead.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to connect, learn, and represent our teams together. Looking forward to carrying the conversations and collaboration forward!

Rinker Design Associates is QC management supporting Branch Civil, Inc. on the I-81 CIP Exit 143 to Exit 150 project to deliver these valuable corridor improvements. This video is the first test blast that used 58 holes to break up rock for excavation. A typical blast will include approximately 125 holes. To safely complete the operation, traffic was temporarily stopped in both directions and at four interchanges along I-81, requiring a highly coordinated traffic control effort from everyone involved.

The 495 Express Lanes Northern Extension was recently named Project of the Year for Community Impact at ARTBA’s 2026 Public Private Partnerships in Transportation Conference!

We’re proud to have served as lead designer on the design build team alongside Lane Construction for a project that is improving travel, expanding transportation options, and creating better connections for communities across Northern Virginia. This recognition is a great reflection of the collaboration and hard work that goes into a project of this scale. Congratulations to Lane Construction and the entire 495 NEXT team on this well deserved national recognition!
