Yesterday, our team had the pleasure of being part of something truly special. 🌟

Ten at the Top - Upstate South Carolina's Annual Pique Event brought together Young Professionals from across all ten Upstate counties for a half-day of intentional connection, real conversations, and genuine inspiration — and we were proud to be right in the middle of it.

A huge shoutout to our own Julia Levi, Marketing and Business Development Director, who co-chairs the event and poured her heart into crafting an experience that hit every mark. And somehow she even convinced Jeff Mulliken to join a panel on Career Mapping — safe to say he held his own. 😄

The energy in the room was a reminder of something easy to forget in the busyness of everyday work: the future of our community is in incredibly good hands. These young professionals aren't waiting to lead — they're leading right now, right where they are.

Here's to more days like this. 👏

Last night, we had the pleasure of celebrating alongside firms, clients, and partners from across South Carolina at the Annual American Council of Engineering Companies of SC Engineering Excellence Awards. It was great evening recognizing the innovation, collaboration, and impact of our industry.

We were honored to receive the Engineering Excellence Award for Small Projects for the S-349 over Sandy Branch Bridge Replacement with SCDOT. This project reflects the dedication of our team and our commitment to delivering thoughtful, high-quality solutions for the communities we serve.

While being recognized for our work is always meaningful, what truly drives us is knowing that our efforts help keep communities connected and moving forward every day.

Thank you to ACEC-SC, SCDOT, and everyone who played a role in making this project—and this evening—so special.

After spending the last two years with us as a valued co‑op student, Josue has officially joined us full time this month following his December graduation from Clemson University. 🎓🧡

He will continue contributing his talent and energy to our Structures Team in our Greenville office, and we’re proud of the growth and commitment he’s shown throughout his co‑op journey.

Help welcome Jason Baker to the CarolinaTEA Family! 🎉

While this is his official welcome, Jason as our new Comptroller, but in many ways, this feels more like a homecoming. Jason supported CarolinaTEA in the early days, so when it came time to bring someone on full‑time, he was the obvious top choice.

We’re excited to have him onboard to help manage our financials, bring insight to our project budgets, and support our continued growth and success.

This season reminds us how powerful it is when local businesses and neighbors come together to serve those who need it most.

This past weekend, our Greenville office partnered with Wild Yarrow Brewing to help stock the shelves at Project Host, an organization working tirelessly to feed our community. With rising demand this Thanksgiving, Project Host urgently needs canned goods and shelf-stable foods.

Wild Yarrow is collecting donations through early December—so if you live or work in Greenville, we invite you to join us! Drop off some goods at Wild Yarrow and stay for a brew. 🍻

August Edition of Inside Carolina TEA

It’s been a busy and inspiring month at Carolina TEA, and we’re excited to share a glimpse of what’s been happening behind the scenes.

🌉 Progress in Western NC
Recovery efforts from Hurricane Helene continue with determination and heart. We recently celebrated the completion of the first two bridges in the region, with the third nearing the finish line. These milestones are a testament to the resilience of the communities we serve and the dedication of our team and partners.

🤝 SASHTO & Annual Partners Retreat
All five of our partners attended SASHTO in Lexington, KY, where they also held our annual partners retreat. This time together was more than just strategic planning—it was about aligning our leadership to guide Carolina TEA with strength and clarity into the coming year.

🎤 Community Engagement
Kevin Gantt, PE recently spoke at a local church, sharing his career journey and the importance of finding passion and focus. His message resonated deeply, reminding us all of the power of purpose-driven work.

🏛️ ACEC-SC Momentum
Our involvement with American Council of Engineering Companies of South Carolina is going strong. Multiple team members attended the Annual Membership Meeting, and Jeff Mulliken gave a compelling presentation on the importance of licensure in South Carolina. We’re also proud to see our Business Development Director, Julia Levi, stepping into a new role as she begins her term as Communications Committee Chair. Her energy and vision are already making an impact!

As summer winds down, we’re energized by the progress we’ve made and the connections we’ve strengthened. Thank you for being part of our journey.
