Working with Travois, Apex provided structural engineering services for the Yaqui Square Complex near Tucson, AZ, an affordable housing development featuring single-family homes, townhomes, and two multifamily apartment buildings. One of those buildings includes 45 units designed specifically for Tribal elders.

Apex had a fantastic few days at this year’s ElevateAEC Conference in Park City, UT!

First of all, we’re ecstatic to announce that Apex won Silver in the 2026 AEC Innovator Award. A big congratulations to our Research and Development team for their efforts in producing the tools that won this award. This recognition is a result of their ability to dream big and has allowed our mid-size firm to accomplish some pretty remarkable things.

Matt Umberger also joined a panel on AI, sharing how Apex has implemented AI into our custom-built software and everyday processes, as well as what we see for the future of the technology in our industry.
