Another year is in the books at Xponential in Detroit. Our team had an impactful week starting with our CEO Terri Zimmerman presenting on “Advancing Battery Technology To Move the UAS Industry Forward,” followed up by engaging conversations at our booth on the future of battery power for drones and UAS.

So much of this year’s discussion revolved around building up a strong and reliable U.S. manufacturing base. In 2023, we made a significant investment in this by opening our second location where we are assembling PCBs and battery packs. That investment has continued as we are set to open our battery cell manufacturing facility later this year. With these facilities operational, we’ll be the first company in the U.S. that can offer complete end-to-end manufacturing for UAS batteries starting at the battery cell all the way to completed battery pack and after sale support.

Even better? We aren’t cutting corners with our products by using the cheapest materials. When you buy from Packet Digital and Badland Batteries, you are ensured a fully NDAA compliant battery that’s third-party certified and actually does what the product claims it does.

If you’re ready to get your next battery designed, looking for a battery cell supplier or are ready to buy one of our off-the-shelf battery solutions, reach out to us today at [email protected].

The University of North Dakota's Design, Build, Fly team visited and toured our battery pack manufacturing and assembly facility in Fargo, N.D. on Friday. It’s always exciting for us to showcase what we are building right here in North Dakota, but it’s even more exciting to share these stories with UND Aerospace students that will become the future workforce and leadership of the UAS industry. There is some amazing work being done in our university systems around the region and we are always happy to provide an inside-look at what day-to-day operations look like here at Packet Digital.

The Packet Digital team had a great visit last week at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, N.M., to discuss our space power solutions. Pictured are Packet Digital CEO Terri Zimmerman and Director of Strategic Initiatives Matthew Steele with David Arvidson of the Air Force Research Laboratory - AFRL.

In 2024, we were awarded a contract with AFRL to build advanced space power solutions at scale for SmallSats as well as CubeSats. We are thrilled to be achieving 98% efficiency with our power converter and are looking for near-future space launch partners.
