Rail vehicle subframe assembly in the fitment and alignment stage before welding.

A setup like this takes a lot of layout work, clamping, checking dimensions against the drawing, and making sure everything is pulled into the right position before the first weld is made.

One thing that stood out talking with the welder setting up this project was how much the process has improved over time. What originally took 8-9 hours to jig and set up has been cut down to around 1-2 hours through repetition and experience building these frames.

That’s one of the advantages of long-term OEM partnerships and repeat production work. The team knows the product, the setup gets tighter, and work moves through the shop more efficiently.

Not everything we build sits nice and flat on a table.

This 12' x 54' assembly is positioned on a rotisserie-style fixture to allow full access throughout the weld process. Our team is working through internal plumbing and conduit runs, along with installation and welding of internal ballast structures and other critical components within the dredge frame.

With assemblies of this size and complexity, proper positioning isn’t optional. It’s what allows for safe access, consistent weld quality, and complete integration of internal systems before final closure.

Before the real welding starts, this is where the work happens!

This is the fit-up stage… where heavy steel gets positioned, squared up, and tack welded before it ever sees a full weld pass. Dredge hull sections and pontoons take a lot of coordination to get everything aligned and ready for final assembly and welding.
It is very important to get proper alignment at this stage. Get it right, and everything that follows goes a lot smoother.

These bucket assemblies for municipal debris collection trucks moved through multiple departments in our facility before shipment.

Scope included CNC machining with turned components for the hydraulic cylinder, structural welding and fabrication, in-house powder coating for high quality corrosion resistance, and final mechanical assembly.

Each unit was assembled with heavy duty pins, bushings, and hydraulic quick connect fittings, delivering a complete, ready-to-install, turnkey solution for OEM equipment applications.
