Delivery day in Eau Claire! This rebuilt 6-7A Bandmill is heading out to our friends at Bingaman & Son Lumber, Inc.

When a machine comes through for a McDonough rebuild, it is not just cleaned up and sent back out the door. The entire machine is gone through, inspected, re-certified, and backed with a one-year warranty just like a new machine.

A lot of history in this one, with plenty more production ahead of it!

Always great seeing projects continue to come together.

Gates Milling recently received the electrical cabinets for their new McDonough edger system as things continue moving toward installation and startup.

There’s a lot happening behind the scenes before a machine is up and running, so it’s always exciting to see another piece of the project arrive on site. The Gates team is also preparing for the arrival of their new McDonough 6’ band mill, which will replace their existing machine as part of the project.

For many mills, modernization is not always about starting from scratch. Sometimes it means building on equipment that is already proven on the mill floor.
