Mohawk Construction - Viking Erectors

Mohawk Construction is one of the leading building envelope contractors in the United States.

We offer end-to-end building envelope solutions including design, engineering, shop fabrication, and installation. We are proficient in a wide range of materials including exterior metal panels, aluminum composite panels, pre-insulated architectural panels, louvers, integral windows, custom aluminum plate, and ornamental metals. Viking Erectors proudly employs union ironworkers to install building envelopes efficiently, effectively and most importantly, safely. It is due to their knowledge, skill and attention to detail that Viking consistently maintains a 0.8 EMR, well below the national average. Partnership with union locals across the country means that Viking can scale and mobilize quickly while still leveraging the specialized knowledge and expertise of the core team. These two companies have created a strategic alliance and work simultaneously and collaboratively to complete top-quality work on schedule and on budget. Mohawk Construction & Supply Co. & Viking Erectors are both headquartered in McMurray, Pennsylvania.

A little Halloween fun with the Mohawk & Viking crew! 🎃

We had a great time celebrating our annual Halloween party with delicious homemade food, Halloween Music Bingo, and plenty of laughs!

It's always nice to step away from the day-to-day, catch up with coworkers, and enjoy some time together outside of our usual routines. We especially love when our team members bring their families along to join in on the fun and make these gatherings even more special!

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped keep this annual tradition going!

Work is progressing at the WVU Eye Institute Parking Garage, where our team is installing the support systems that will ultimately carry the new exterior cladding.

Current scope includes galvanized hat channels and Advanced Architectural Products GreenGirts, with installation of the CEI Panels now beginning in select areas. The accuracy of the support layout directly impacts the alignment and appearance of the panels that follow.

More progress to come as the façade begins to take shape.

Meet the people behind Mohawk Construction! Every successful project starts with a strong team. Our office brings together professionals across Sales & Estimating, Project Management, Accounting, Marketing, and Administration, all working toward the same standard of quality and service.

Each person brings a different area of expertise, but it’s the collaboration between our teams that allows us to take on complex projects, solve challenges, support our field operations, and continue building strong relationships with our customers and industry partners.

Since 1980, Mohawk has continued to grow and evolve, but one thing has remained constant: our people are at the center of what we do. We’re proud of the experience, dedication, and teamwork represented by this group and even prouder of what we accomplish together.

One team. Decades of experience. A shared commitment to building something exceptional.

Today, we recognize National Tradesmen Day and the skilled men and women whose craftsmanship keeps our industry moving forward. We know that even the best design is only as good as the team bringing it to life in the field.

Having skilled ironworkers on the job makes a difference at every stage of a project. Their experience helps ensure complex systems are installed safely, accurately, and efficiently, while identifying potential issues before they become costly problems.

From structural support systems and intricate building envelopes to challenging field conditions and tight tolerances, experienced tradespeople bring something to a project that can’t be replaced: knowledge built through years of hands-on work.

Today, we’re proud to recognize the skilled tradespeople who show up every day, solve problems in the field and turn plans on paper into finished projects.
Thank you to our crews and to tradespeople everywhere for the work you do.

This Construction Appreciation Week, we’re recognizing the people behind the projects.

Every successful project takes more than what you see in the finished building. It takes planning, coordination, problem-solving, craftsmanship and a team committed to getting the job done right.

From our project managers and office teams coordinating behind the scenes to our field crews turning drawings into reality, every person plays an important role.
Construction isn’t always easy. Conditions change, schedules get tight and challenges come up along the way. What makes the difference is having experienced people who work together, adapt and take pride in what they build.

This week, we’re proud to recognize our entire Mohawk Construction & Supply and Viking Erectors teams, and everyone across the construction industry who helps build the places where we work, learn, live and gather.

Thank you for everything you bring to the job, every day.

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the courage of the first responders, service members, and everyday Americans who stepped forward in the face of tragedy.

We remember those who never made it home, the families forever changed, and the strength and unity shown in the days that followed.

From all of us at Mohawk Construction & Supply and Viking Erectors Corporation, we will never forget.

A look behind the scenes at the craftsmanship that goes into the details.

Our field team is working through the layout and installation process for custom column covers, from establishing precise laser lines and field measurements to fitting each piece around the existing columns.

These photos capture the work before the finished product: careful layout, hands-on installation, and the attention to detail required to turn an architectural concept into a clean, finished feature.
