We at Aykroyd Hardware would like to wish you all a Safe and Happy Independence Day! We are closed today but will resume normal business hours Monday July 6th.

We would also like to thank our boss Pete for making his own HO scale 1776 Delaware and Lehigh engine(yes it’s a model, not real!)in what little free time he has and displayed it on his model train layout(with some photo editing by Dave)for our post! The Delaware and Lehigh railroad was created by his father Bob many years ago, Pete has continued his Father's legacy by keeping the idea going on his own layout, some of you may have seen photos of his layout which is pretty spectacular, from the hill to hill bridge all the way to Nazareth!

We hope you all enjoy your holiday!

In case you missed it we were shocked but what we saw on the news as we are sure all of you were and it looked awfully terrifying watching that couple climb to the top of the Empire State Building but we are glad they were able to spread the word for us!!
