Cochlear has once again been recognised as the world's most trustworthy healthcare company, ranking No. 1 in Newsweek's 2026 World's Most Trustworthy Companies list for the Health Care & Life Sciences industry. It's the second time in three years we've received the recognition.
Awards are nice, but this one feels a little different.
Trust isn't built by rankings. It's not something you can launch, market or measure in a single moment. Trust is earned over time. Through thousands of interactions with recipients, candidates, hearing health professionals, customers, investors and each other.
It's built when we solve a problem for a recipient. When we improve a product. When we answer a question, meet a deadline, support a colleague or take the time to get something right.
The Newsweek ranking, conducted independently with research firm Statista, is based on trust among customers, employees and investors. More than 65,000 people across 20 countries contributed to the 2026 results.
For Dig Howitt, the recognition reflects the collective effort of people across Cochlear.
“At Cochlear, our recipients and candidates are at the heart of everything we do. This recognition from Newsweek reflects the dedication of every person across our organisation who works tirelessly to support people with hearing loss throughout their entire hearing journey.”
In a year when many companies are working hard to build confidence with customers, employees and investors, being recognised as the most trusted healthcare company in the world is something every Cochlear employee can be proud of.
Because while Newsweek may publish the ranking, it's our people who earn it.
