MEDICAL DEVICES DISTRIBUTION & HIGHLY SPECIALISED DRUGS

In Asia, we have seen the emergence of informed, tech-savvy patients who use the Internet to research their options for medical treatment. This new group values their time, mobili

ty and comfort, and wants ways to reduce downtime and avoid hospitalization if possible. Transmedic understands their concerns and has endeavoured over the last 4 decades to become the top specialist in the advanced medical technology arena in Asia. We believe that these technologies can genuinely impact the quality of healthcare and significantly improve patient recovery times. EDUCATION & TRAINING

We are deeply committed to education, and invest heavily in training for doctors, technology promotion and patient education. We also regularly sponsor and help to organise medical conferences, exhibitions, symposiums and workshops for healthcare professionals to exchange findings and build networks. POST-SALES SUPPORT

Besides technology introduction, we are also deeply involved in implementation and maintenance. We believe in providing the post-sale support necessary to extract the most value out of the machines; in the process forming long-term links with the best healthcare practitioners in the industry.

An evening of firsts for our Transmedic Orthobiologics team on 25 August.

Together with our partner, Biocomposites, we hosted our first dinner symposium, bringing together surgeons for an evening of learning, discussion, and connection.

We were honoured to welcome Prof. Hemant Sharma from the United Kingdom as our guest speaker, with A/Prof Tay Kae Sian as session moderator.

The evening centred on “Bridging the Gap between Infection Control and Bone Healing in Trauma Surgery,” featuring two case presentations exploring the use of STIMULAN® and GENEX®, followed by case discussions over dinner.

For our team, it was a first in more ways than one. Beyond hosting our first dinner symposium, it was an opportunity to organise, connect with our local orthobiologics community, and learn from the experiences shared around the table.

A sincere thank you to Biocomposites, Prof. Hemant Sharma, A/Prof Tay Kae Sian, and all the doctors who joined us for making the evening such a meaningful one. We hope this is the first of many more opportunities for our team to connect, learn, and grow.

We are excited to introduce FARAPULSE™ Pulsed Field Ablation from Boston Scientific to the Philippine electrophysiology community, expanding our offering in cardiac rhythm management.

The introduction took place at a recent convention in Quezon City, where Transmedic joined electrophysiologists, physicians, fellows, and healthcare professionals for meaningful discussions on the evolving landscape of cardiac rhythm care. The scientific programme explored key topics including arrhythmia management, implantable devices, conduction system pacing, and emerging technologies in electrophysiology.

For our team, the convention was more than an opportunity to introduce a new technology. It was a chance to reconnect with long-standing customers, meet newly appointed fellows from institutions across the Philippines, and exchange perspectives with the wider EP community.

With FARAPULSE™ now part of our electrophysiology portfolio, we look forward to building on these relationships and supporting the cardiac rhythm community with continued innovation, education, and collaboration.

Thank you to all the physicians, fellows, healthcare professionals, and partners who connected with us and contributed to the conversations.

What if treating targeted liver tumours did not require an incision, ionising radiation, or heat?

At MyHBP 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, Transmedic introduced the HistoSonics, Inc. Histotripsy System to the hepatobiliary community. As the official distributor of HistoSonics across Southeast Asia and Hong Kong, we were pleased to showcase this non-invasive approach, which uses focused ultrasound to mechanically destroy targeted tissue.

The discussion continued at our Morning Tea Symposium, “The First Asian Experience on Histotripsy for Liver Tumours: The HKU Perspective,” where Prof. Dr. Albert Chi-Yan Chan, Director of Liver Cancer Surgery at Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong, shared his experience and perspectives on histotripsy.

It was encouraging to see hepatobiliary surgeons engage with the technology firsthand, ask thoughtful questions, and consider its potential role in the evolving landscape of liver tumour treatment.

We are grateful to the HistoSonics team, our Transmedic colleagues, Prof. Chan, and all the surgeons and healthcare professionals who took the time to connect with us at MyHBP 2026.

As we continue introducing this technology to the region, we look forward to more conversations, more learning, and more opportunities to explore what may be possible next.

PALES 2026 brought together the minimally invasive surgery community to exchange insights and discover new possibilities in surgical technology.

From July 9 - 10, Transmedic was pleased to participate in the Philippine Association of Laparoscopic and Endoscopic Surgeons (PALES) Annual Convention at EDSA Shangri-La, Philippines.

At our booth, we showcased technologies supporting laparoscopic procedures and fluorescence imaging, while engaging with surgeons and healthcare professionals on current practices, emerging approaches, and the evolving needs of minimally invasive surgery.

Thank you to the PALES community and all the surgeons and healthcare professionals who stopped by, shared their perspectives, and made the conversations meaningful. We look forward to building on these connections and continuing to support the advancement of minimally invasive surgery in the Philippines.

The 13th Malaysia Spine Society Scientific Congress marked a meaningful milestone for us — the introduction of Spineart to the Malaysian spine community.

More than a launch, it was the beginning of a new conversation. Seeing surgeons engage with the technology firsthand, exchange perspectives, and explore its possibilities made the experience especially encouraging. We are truly grateful for the warm reception and look forward to building on these early conversations.

This occasion was also particularly meaningful as we reflected on the past three years of growing alongside the Malaysian spine community through our work in cervical and lumbar disc arthroplasty with Centinel Spine. Reconnecting with so many familiar faces and hearing how their perspectives and experiences have evolved reminded us of the value of long-term partnership and shared progress.

Our sincere appreciation goes to every spine surgeon who visited our booth and generously shared their time, insights, and feedback.
To the Transmedic Spine team, our principals, and our partners — thank you for the dedication, teamwork, and countless hours behind the scenes that made this milestone possible.

Here’s to continued conversations, meaningful collaboration, and an exciting journey ahead.

The future of cataract care is about more than restoring vision. It is about giving patients greater visual freedom.

On 15 August, Transmedic Ophthalmology, together with TELEON, welcomed ophthalmologists from across Malaysia to Meliá Kuala Lumpur for an evening of clinical insights and shared experiences on the evolving role of varifocal IOLs in cataract and refractive care.

Chaired by Prof. Dr. Tajunisah Begam Binti Mohamed Iqbal, the symposium brought together Dr. Noor Aniah Azmi, Dr. Helen Tan, and Dr. Yong Ked Sheong, with Dr. Shin Hoy Choong as panelist.

The faculty shared valuable clinical perspectives from their experience with the LENTIS® and ACUNEX® Family:

● Dr. Noor Aniah Azmi discussed key considerations in post-LASIK cataract patients seeking continued spectacle independence, including the LENTIS® MF15/MF20 design and its approach to refractive challenges, contrast sensitivity, and photic phenomena.

● Dr. Helen Tan shared up to seven years of Malaysian experience with LENTIS® MF20 & MF30, including sustained distance and near visual outcomes, a favourable safety profile, and high patient satisfaction. She also highlighted how a mix-and-match Varifocal approach can help personalise vision according to patients’ distance and near priorities.

● Dr. Yong Ked Sheong shared insights from his experience with 100 ACUNEX® VarioMax cases, highlighting distance, intermediate, and near visual outcomes, alongside the lens’ varifocal design and high light transmission.

Thank you to our distinguished faculty, TELEON, and all the ophthalmologists who joined us and contributed to the discussion. We look forward to continuing these conversations and advancing cataract care through education, clinical experience, and collaboration.
