NCR aka Negative Crankcase Regulator....re-intro to new comers..since 2016 , 500+ OL already installed...!
NCR induces and create vacuum with the crankcase, that means it eliminate the Piston pressure which drag down the overall piston motion, hence increases Fuel to Piston movement efficiency, at the same time, Vacuum environment frees the piston to move faster, CVT engagement is controlled by ECU which is dependent on Piston speed...with faster Piston speed, ECU command the CVT to engage earlier, thus eliminating the CVT lag. Another advantage of having Vacuum inside crankcase is faster and more powerful pickup due to immediate air suction from crankcase vacuum once you step on the accelerator and opens the throttle...air get suck in at high speed and get mix with fuel to burn, thus instant power and faster pickup...at the same time, during cruising, you only need to tap on accelerator since air delivery into crankcase is faster now..hence Fuel saving...Crankcase vacuum is usually found in high end race cars and is proven to provide host of benefits..
