Double the poles, halve the speed.
Constant toque or variable torque, these Dahlander two speed motors have it all.

Not a common site anymore due to the inverter being common place in industrial use. But two speed motors were the common way of achieving variable speed outputs in fans, pumps, conveyors, cranes and milling.

This week at Byrne Electric Motors we had a selection of variable and constant torque versions leaving us this week.

The variable torque being used in a HVAC application and the constant torque being used on a conveyor system.

Two very bespoke Grundfos pump sets leaving for one of our data centre projects in Dublin.

Single pumps mounted on a skid plate with a customer specified manifold and complete with an intelligent CU352 controller.

This is one of 3 data centre projects we have coming to completion this month in Dublin and Shannon.

Take this Rexroth servo motor procured by Byrne Electric Motors. It’s not new, fully refurbished with a 12 month warranty but if you want to wait for a new one it will take 12 weeks but this took us 1 week!

This is Blake.

Anyone that has seen me on site this summer would have seen Blake with me. He brought a positive attitude to site and an upbeat humour to the office.

When he isn’t captain of Crumlin United’s U17’s or captain of the Leinster U17’s team or playing for Crumlin’s Senior 1 team he just loves to learn about electric motors, fans and pumps.

Always eager to learn he has mastered how to test a motor, how to change bearings on a motor and how to change a mechanical seal. If he doesn’t make it as a soccer player he wants a trade.

So in order to encourage his ambition and to say thank you, just in case the football doesn’t work out, we gifted him his very own Wiha tools bag fully equipped with tools and a Fluke meter.

A 2 week turn around for this new 5.5 kw plug fan with metal impeller delivered to site.

Sell, replenish, repeat.

A large selection of Grundfos Hydro Multi pump sets being replenished and a number of Grundfos NB pumps leaving Byrne Electric Motors for a project in the West of Ireland.

What makes the NB pumps special is the stainless steel impellers fitted for the application. Choosing the correct pump design and configure the pump for the application all aid in the pump efficiency and longevity.

With a 300mm suction and a 250mm discharge you can already tell this Grundfos pump has major water flow. In fact it’s capable of doing 370 litres of water per second!! To put it in context, in a blink of an eye you could fill the bathtub.

Part of a large scale project, this Grundfos pump will be delivered to site on time for instillation immediately.
