On a recent project, our UNIC UM445 spider crane proved its value on a tight, restrictive access site.

Glass Replacement at the Grange Golf Club est. 1910

We recently supported glass replacement works at the magnificent Grange Golf Club, with O'Sullivan Glazing carrying out the installation and our team providing the lifting solution and operator.

The lift was completed using our UNIC URW-706 Spider Crane paired with a Woods POWR-Grip Inline 4 glass vacuum lifter, ensuring safe and controlled handling of each pane. Glass units were transported across the grounds using our 3-tonne Multi-Loader with its A-frame attachment.

Both the crane and multi-Loader were tracked to and from the work area on large spreader mats to control ground loading ensuring protection of the manicured surrounds of this gem of a parkland course.
The project was completed safely, efficiently and with full protection of the surrounding grounds.

Precision glass installation
Using our 13-tonne city crane with the Hydraulica 2000 glass vacuum lifter, we carried out safe, accurate glazing works, including controlled placement of glass beneath a concrete soffit where headroom was limited using our Libro 2500 counterbalance beam.
We also operate the largest capacity glass vacuum lifter in the country — the Hydraulica 3500, offering a 3,500 kg lifting capacity for heavyweight glazing projects.
Alongside our equipment, we provide comprehensive Instructor led training on glass vacuum lifters, supporting safe, compliant, and efficient lifting on site.

It’s been a busy opening to the year for our team, with projects taking us right across Dublin City and beyond with our valued customers.

From our Libro counterbalance beams operating high above the city skyline, to glass installation using our UNIC spider cranes paired with Wood’s POWR-Grip vacuum lifters, we’ve been delivering safe, controlled lifts in some of the most challenging environments.

Add to that our city cranes and mobile cranes working daily across tight, restrictive urban sites and to top it all off, we’re proud to have become an accredited NPORS training provider this month!
