New project started on Tuesday 21st October, great progress and a site well prepared makes our job a lot easier, 9 loads of steel, 3 loads metal decking,3 loads of cold rolled purlins, 3 sets of precast concrete stairs and 1 precast lift shaft will keep someone busy for a good few weeks

It’s nice when staying in a hotel in Newcastle and hanging in the room is a print of the iconic view of the Tyne Bridge and the Millennium Bridge but nestled in between them are two projects that we have undertaken(circled in black) on the left is the refurbished HMS CALLIOPE naval training centre and on the right is another, a refurbishment of the Northern Standard building which we put a new roof on, added 2 new floors at one end and built a new entrance canopy. We like to think we have added to this iconic view.

Our most recent project in Hull, a new care home, 200t hot rolled steel including 25% of which is reused steel ie reclaimed steel from other projects, challenging to say the least, 50 packs of metal decking, three sets of pre cast concrete stairs, handed over ahead of programme, the client was very pleased. Thanks to all involved, the detailers/design engineers did above and beyond to get this over the line, as usual our highly experienced team did what they do best and ensured this project passed through our works effortlessly.
