Having worked alongside Barber’s for over 30 years, this project reflects a partnership built on loyalty and trust, with a shared commitment to helping one another grow and succeed.

This project continues to advance, with the design nearing completion and manufacturing already underway. Our focus has been on delivering a precise, fully integrated whey pasteuriser, working in close collaboration with the customer to ensure every element, from holding tubes through to full site integration, aligns with exact process and operational requirements.

A key driver on this project has been our digital-first approach; by utilising a shared 3D design environment, our teams have been able to develop tanks, manifolds, and pipework simultaneously. This has provided full system visibility, enabling early clash detection, faster decision-making, and a more efficient route to a fully resolved design. Alongside this, optimisation has been central to the design phase, with the system engineered to minimise OPEX by carefully addressing pressure losses across the process, including optimised line sizing.

This project involves the design, manufacture, and installation of upgraded valve manifolds for a global dairy leader, supporting a transition from infrastructure where obsolescence and limited flexibility had become constraints on performance, maintainability, and future scalability. Designed by our engineering experts, these bespoke valve manifolds are tailored to meet precise operational requirements.

Once installed, the manifolds will play a critical role in controlling and directing product and cleaning flows throughout the process system. They will provide precise routing between process lines, support efficient CIP operations, and ensure product integrity is maintained at every stage of production. By enhancing flow control and minimising the risk of cross-contamination, this system will strengthen operational efficiency while upholding high hygiene standards. This upgrade provides clear benefits, including reduced operational risk, improved product quality assurance, greater production uptime, and a future-ready platform that supports ongoing optimisation.

Accessibility has also been a key focus throughout the design. Enhanced service access reduces health and safety risks while enabling faster, more efficient maintenance, supporting long-term reliability.

𝑺𝒂𝒍𝒕 𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝑻𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑼𝒑𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒆

These two bespoke salt whey filtration skids have been designed by our expert engineering team for a leading Irish dairy, flavour and nutritional ingredients company.

These skids have been designed to meet specific process requirements and will be fully assembled and pre-wired in our in-house manufacturing facility. This approach ensures quality, consistency and seamless integration on-site with minimal disruption.

These filtration units will be used to pre-treat the salt whey before membrane filtration. This system will ensure that the membrane plant is receiving the highest quality whey available for further processing.

This design incorporates a duty standby approach, enabling automatic changeover between filter skids, minimising operator intervention and safeguarding against blockages in the membrane plant that could result in unplanned production downtime.
