As National SQP Week begins, we’re proud to recognise the contribution of our nine SQP advisors and the expert guidance and services they provide to customers every day.

Meet Kate Stones.

A farmer’s wife and R-SQP since 2020, Kate completed her qualification during the Covid lockdown period after beginning her training in Devon just before restrictions were introduced. Working primarily with livestock producers, she enjoys helping farmers find practical solutions for their animals while also supporting equine and companion animal owners.

Kate’s experience makes her a valued source of advice across a range of animal health topics.

It’s National SQP Week, and we’re highlighting the practical expertise of our nine qualified SQPs. Each day, we’ll feature one advisor and the specialist skills they use to deliver results for our customers.

Today, we’re introducing Alaina Moore, Agri Store Supervisor at W.E. Jameson.

Raised in Wensleydale and involved in her family’s Dartmoor pony stud, Alaina qualified as an SQP three years ago before progressing to become a fully qualified R-SQP. Based in our Masham Agri Store, she enjoys helping farmers, horse owners and pet owners make informed decisions about their animals’ health and wellbeing.

Qualified to prescribe products for farm, equine and companion animals, Alaina combines practical experience with trusted advice across a wide range of animal health needs.

What fantastic news! 🎉🐑🎶

Huge congratulations to the Hawkstone Farmers’ Choir on winning Britain’s Got Talent — what an incredible achievement.

You’ve shown the whole country something we already know… farming is about so much more than producing food. It’s community, resilience, passion, friendship and people coming together through good times and challenging times alike.

To stand on that stage and represent British farming in such a positive way is something to be incredibly proud of.

From everyone at W.E. Jameson & Son Ltd – congratulations and thank you for flying the flag for agriculture so brilliantly 🚜💚

The Hawkstone Farmers Choir

They did it! 🎉

A massive congratulations to The Hawkstone Farmers Choir on winning Britain's Got Talent 2026!

"This is for the farmers," they said on winning – and they're the first choir ever to win the show!

Well done to everyone involved in the choir – and a special shout out to our former YFC members, our YFC Achiever Award Judge Farmer Ben Brooke and all those who are still involved with YFC! You're all simply amazing.

We’re proud to share that Crossroads Truck & Bus Ltd is taking on an incredible challenge in support of Andys Man Club. Their Truck Sales Team will be tackling the Yorkshire Dales Mighty Hike Marathon on 18th June — a tough 26-mile route through one of the UK’s most stunning landscapes - all to raise vital funds for men’s mental health.

At W.E. Jameson, we’re supporting their fundraising efforts. If you’d like to find out more or support the team, you can visit their JustGiving page here: https://www.justgiving.com/page/crossroads-truck-and-bus-13

Pulpy Kidney Risk in Creep-Fed Lambs

As lambing season progresses and creep feeding begins, it’s important to stay alert to the risk of Pulpy Kidney (Clostridium perfringens type C and D) - a condition that can cause sudden and significant losses if not managed correctly.

Clostridial vaccination is essential where creep feeding is used.

We can assist you in selecting the right products. Call 01765 689666 for advice on Pulpy Kidney Risk.
