After a very busy year the guys and girls will be taking a well deserved break over the Christmas period with our last working day being Friday 20th December with the office closing at 12.00 noon. We will then return bright and breezy at 8.30am on 2nd January.
Online orders can still be placed during this time and will be processed on our return.

We are looking for a skilled Workshop Lorry Mechanic to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:
Vehicle Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a variety of lorries, including but not limited to engine diagnostics, brake systems, suspension, and transmission.
Inspection and Troubleshooting: Conduct thorough inspections of lorries to identify mechanical issues and use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and resolve faults.
Safety Compliance: Ensure all vehicles are maintained in compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Conduct regular safety checks and maintain accurate records.
Parts Management: Assist in the ordering, inventory, and management of parts and supplies needed for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Documentation: Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and labour hours.
Collaboration: Work closely with other mechanics, drivers, and the operations team to ensure the fleet is in optimal condition and ready for service.
Emergency Repairs: Respond to breakdowns and perform emergency repairs to minimize vehicle downtime.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest automotive technology and industry practices to enhance skills and efficiency.

Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a lorry mechanic, preferably in a workshop environment.
Qualifications: Relevant industry qualifications preferred
Technical Skills: Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment. Strong understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
Licences: A valid HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) driving licence is highly desirable.
Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various conditions.
Problem-Solving: Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
Team Player: Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate clearly with colleagues.
Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and overtime as required.

Last week at our Welducation Open Day at East Coast College Great Yarmouth Welding Academy we unveiled our new Fronius UK Cobot Welding Cell CWC-S. Those that attended were able to see it in action and take away their own weld sample.

10 YEARS AGO TODAY! Ben and Paul completed the Three Peaks Challenge, with a Fronius Perfect Welding Accupocket - a battery powered MMA machine. Which hadn't been done before in the history of this challenge!
